Implementing IAM for Better Customer Experience

The pandemic has created the need for rapid digital transformation and the growing trend of working from home is pushing businesses to adopt "zero trust" and implement it within their own organizations, says Bobbet Castillo, chief technology officer and information security officer at Petnet.

Zero trust, he says, will eventually help businesses to better secure their infrastructure and - more importantly - their data.

"We are prioritizing implementing an identity access management system to be able to have a single view of our customers and users in terms of access to our systems and platforms," he says.

In a video interview with Information Security Media Group as part of the CyberEdBoard's ongoing Profiles in Leadership series, Castillo discusses:

  • Selecting the right tools and applications to monitor and implement policies;
  • How enterprise security has evolved over the last 15 years;
  • Providing enough training opportunities for employees to stay top on the job.

Castillo drives the IT security strategies and programs for Petnet, including building a culture of awareness by educating its people and stakeholders. He is a seasoned IT professional with over 28 years of experience in IT management, IT governance, system development, infrastructure administration, project management, information security, data analytics and network security through operations.
